Emcell HC 1310

Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose (HEC) 
 
Emcell HC 1310 is a non-ionic water-soluble polymer from wood pulps or cotton linters that can be used for water retention aid and rheology modifier in water-based paints Emcell HC 1310 is a high viscosity grade of hydroxy ethyl cellulose. It is available in a grade that has bio-stability in solution againts enzmatic attack.

Emcell HC 1310 is widely used for water-based paints.  It provides good  pseudoplastic flow and wide compatibility with colored pigments, emulsion polymers, surfactans, emulsifiers, defoamers and preservatives. In order to avoid lump formations caused by a guicker than optimal dissolution rate, Emcell HC 1310 is properly treated to achieve optimum hydration time for the application.

Packaging
Emcell HC 1310 is packaged in 25 Kg net weight paper sacks with a surface made of polyethylene inside. They are loaded on pallets, with a net of 1000 Kg şn 40 sacks. Depending on the şnstallation, pallets can also be loaded with 1250 – 1500 Kg. Empty paper sacks can be recycled.

Storage and Shelf Life
Unopened sacks can be stored for several years. Emcell HC 1310 can last for a long time provided it is kept at room temperature and dry in closed containers or original package. For products with high viscosity, a decrease in viscosity can be observed for products stored for a long time (more than 1 year). Once the package is opened, it must be closed off again and tightly tied.
